Customer personas, user flows and wireframes for Madesmith – a curated marketplace for handmade goods. After conducting industry and user research, I created target audience personas for Madesmith. I then mapped out the user flows and created wireframes for the website. Madesmith’s primary focus is on telling the stories of the makers and in order to maximize the impact of the stories, and I designed the homepage and article pages to feature large, inspiring images of the makers, their workspaces and the making process. I also incorporated a snippet of the maker’s story at the bottom of each product page. The original product page design as shown here featured price and “add to cart” button below the product description. However, after testing with the users we moved the price and buy button at the top to enhance the user’s purchasing experience.
